  1. Thanks for any help given

I have thanks to this website, started ripping my own DVDs. I am a quick learner to some degree. I have managed to add titles to one of my DVD Rips. My second attempt didn`t go as well as the first but I was experimenting as the first titles I done were to a 640 meg file and with the titles added it went to 1.2 gig so I ran the file through TMPGE and it went back down again.

Tonight I tried to add the titles and then save to the format for VCDs MPEG 1 but sadly when I burnt with Nero it didn`t work on my DVD player. I have since ripped the DAT file into a MPEG and am recoding with TMPGE. So I hope this works, otherwise I will have to redo the first CD again.

I have thought about an idea of making the titles. encoding with TMPGE and then joining the film with my DVD rip.

I`m wondering if anyone has got any speedier ideas just to make a simple scroll up hold and scroll up credit titles so everyone knows who ripped a DVD?

    Regards

  2. I am not sure of freeware, but there may be demos such as titledeko or titlemotion that may do the job. However you may not be able to save them. You will have to check.
    http://www.titlemotion.com
http://www.pinnaclesys.com for Title Deko. I am not sure if this is available as a stand alone. I have it as part of Premiere.

Are you going to put your real name on the DVD rips made from outside sources? Or your own work? Think about that for a moment especially if you are handing out many copies.

  3. you may want to just use a simple movie editor/3d designer and make a video bumper to put in front of all the media files you make. you should be able to find a free movie editor that has the options to do 3d titles and the like.

  4. You could also use Flash and export as an avi and convert to mpg and just drag into nero w/your movie or join the mpg from flash to the beginning of your movie.
    OR
You could watermark your rips, but that would be irritating to the viewers.
