  2. If you have a static IP, then just get Serv-U, it's great software I use it myself, haven't had a single failture with it.

If you have a dynamic IP, the ontop of Serv-U, also get DNS2Go or any other program that does IP to name translation.

  3. I have G6 FTP which is also the same as Bullitproof FTP v2.15 and basically you just set it up.

If you are used to settings in applications then it is pretty much straight forward.

It took me about 1/2 hour first time I looked at it so it can't be that hard...
(This is me we are talking about.... )

Just be carefull setting your directories up incase you want to give out your login details anytime...

Dont wanna give people access to your complete H/Drive now do you....

Serv-U runs as a service and I don't want that, the server needs to be on only when I"m at school.

WS_FTP server, I can't log into it using a client, says it's not on, btu the servicve says it's running

    Greg12, try the G6 server
    http://www.bpftpserver.com/download.html

ive been running it for 2 years and it seems stable with plenty of features. You can set it as a service or you can just simply run it when you need it.

    I like Bulletproof

How much security does it have?

I like how I can set it to automatically come online at 7am and go offline at 4:30

as far as security for bulletproof (g6), i have not found any security holes or threats yet. It seems secure enough. I have had some issues where some of my friends couldn't log on, but that may have been their system. It also has a feature that a person can be banned if they hammer the server, a very nice feature for those who love to do that.
