    Has anyone found a way to directly capture a SiriusXM stream yet? I can get the m3u8 file address via the inspector function in Chrome, however none of the programs I have tried (JDownloader, VLC, streamlink, youtube-dl) can actually capture the stream itself.

    (Yes, I realize you can capture the audio by playing it and then recording what is coming out with Audacity but I'm trying to capture the direct stream itself.

    Do you have a link to that .m3u8 or the webpage it's embeded in? (which category are you trying to listen)

    IIRC, Their streams are encrypted and not meant to be decoded by anything except their hardware/software. It's a subscription (aka rented) service. Rules No-No.

    Asking about downloading encrypted copyright material is a violation of our rules:

    Do NOT talk about copying rented/subscription material
    You are not allowed to rip/copy/record rented video. It includes streaming rented/subscribed video like netflix, itunes, hulu plus, etc.
