I downloaded a divx movies that has a scrolling marquee that runs intermittently through it and I need to find a way to get rid of it. I have read some of the other posts that give suggestions for removing subtitles and logos, but all of the Virtualdub plugins are for static logos and text. My problem is with dynamic text that scrolls from one side of the movie to the other in the bottom of the picture. I've thought of just croping that section of the movie and cutting the scrolling text out entirely, but then that would also cut out the English subtitles that apear in the movie when the characters are speaking another language. What should I do? Does anyone out there have an idea of how to removing scrolling text as opposed to static text and logos?

Oops No. As far as I know there is nothing much you can do about scrolling text. You can try to apply the VirtualDub logoaway filter. But no filter can be perfect and the blending of surrounding video in the corrected area will show out in fast scenes.

Well, I figured as much. I thought the chances were slim that there was anything I could do about it. I guess plan B is to crop the video and then re-add the subtitles. Either that or crop the video except in those parts where there are subtitles. Is there any way you can rip subtitles from Divx? How do I add subtitles of my own? Any suggestions out there?
