Video sharpness help

i encoded a video but looks like encode made the video bit sharper and losing some dark details. not sure if it's for deblock issue or not. it will be helpful if someone can point me out what causing the issue

Regarding the brightness problem, you may have a full-range vs. limited range YUV problem. A full range YUV source being interpreted as limited range would cause darks would get darker and brights would get brighter. Your sample doesn't have any brights so I can't tell if that is the problem.

Regarding the image getting sharper, reencoding doesn't cause that. Are you doing some other filtering? And why are re-encoding at 1000 kbps file to a new 5259 kbps? Reencoding can only make the quality worse.

regarding YUV.. i am not sure what is that. re-encode videomedia info has these info which are not available in main source:
Forced : No
Color range : Limited
Color primaries : BT.709
Transfer characteristics : BT.709
Matrix coefficients : BT.709

may be these are the reason? i used handbrak and i haven't use any filter

Handbrake's log file should provide information regarding what it's doing and the type of video it sees the source to be etc.

Then your video is getting blurry and losing detail because you are compressing it too much.

So your reencoded video is limited range. What about the source?
