I'm sure this must be a common challenge, but I couldn't find any solutions by searching.
I am using the last version of Subrip 1.56.1, to rip some Thai language subtitles from a DVD. But when I run into some characters with accents above the letters, SubRip sees this as a discrete line, and won't let me change it. Is there some trick to redraw the boundaries of each line?
I'm guessing that other languages have a similar problem, like French, so I'm hoping that someone has a solution.
Here are some images to demonstrate the issue.
Thank you

Hello all. I'm still struggling with this one.

If anyone has any tips, or suggestions for other programs that don't have this issue, please share.

I don't really see the problem in your example. But if there is a bug, it's probably in the code and you need to contact the developers.

Even though it's not been developed anymore,
at least for me still works like new with DVD subs.

 Give it a try.

I suppose you have the Thailanades language installed on your computer..

Other option is SubtitleEdit: Import OCR subtiitle from VOB/IFO (DVD)Last edited by sekininsha; 30th Jul 2018 at 21:29. 責任者-MDX

Thank you so much for the recommendations, I'll check both of those out, and report back.
