As I understand the SVCD standard: there is no such thing as animated menus defined.Sorry.

Man I wish someone would have told me that 10 disks ago. Does that mean I have to go back an remove the motion menus from the disks I created?

You can generate full motion menus with both background animation and chapter/menu animation in SVCD's. I think you can do it in VCD too, but I've never tried it. There are several packages that can do it. One of the more expensive is Video Pack 5 at 500 bucks. The cheapest, I think it's the best, is TSCV, its free. I'm sure there are others but these are the ones I have used. It is even possible to create a disk with motion menus in VCDEasy if you know what you are doing.

Video Pack 5 is the easiest to use but it had the poorest results with it. I always had sound sync problems with my SVCD's. TSCV is the most powerfull but it has a very step learning curve. You must also be very familuar with tmpgenc to create motion menus with it. Another thing is time. It only takes 10 mins to generate a acceptable menu with VP5 but it can take several hours with TSCV to do the same thing.

Feel free to contact me if you need any help.
