    Hi all,

Just having a live concert LD captured to HD, but not convinced by the results. I was looking at 60fps capture of LD masters online and the results were exceptional in my opinion. No ghosting or any other issues.

Here is the WT transfer showing snippets of restoration (before and after) at HD resolution downsampled to 8bit 4:2:0 depth I presume:

Here is a great example of LD restored and upconverted to HD:

Shall I except restoration as is or get a 60p transfer?
    Best wishes
    Chris

  2. I don't see much ghosting in the donna summers samples; however i see some mild chroma noise (sample2) even in the "restored" clip , ccd filter can take care of that easily. Also, i find it kinda blurry so there is room for optimisation i'd say.
I don't see what's the point of 60 fps a good deinterlacer with the right parameters like qtgmc (or else) should do the job at 29.9 fps
