I't looks like the Hauppage one that records in 5.1 is done through an spif cable? Any improved capture devices now at the end of 2017 that can record from the single HDMI cable yet? My DVR is going to be 8 years old next year and I would like to archive 2 championships my team won that's still on the HD in 5.1 sound; the "official" blu-ray of the games have horrible audio compared to the on air broadcasts.
