Not sure where to post this. I need to get an old version of EasyCap (2.1C) working on a Win 7 machine with HDMI out to a 1080p TV. The problem is Ulead, which complains that my screen resolution is too low (!) and refuses to start. Can anyone help me with this?

Right click on the icon you are using to start the program and then click on "properties." There are a bunch of startup options you can change there. I'm on an old XP machine at the moment so I can't give you the exact settings you need to change, but I think you'll figure it out once you get into that dialog.

Thanks for the reply. I took a look but nothing I see makes a difference. I did try compatibility mode just for the heck of it but the problem seems to be that Ulead doesn't recognise the TV resolution as valid. I can't change the monitor (or the resolution) just for that, so I need to find a way to get past Ulead.

Apologies. I overlooked a setting that did the trick. You advice was correct. Thank you very much for the help.

Glad to help. Sorry I couldn't be more precise, since I was on my old computer.
