Nero Scandata.dat

Hi ,

I'm burning SVCD's with Nero but they wo'nt fastforward on my dvd player.
I know I have to put the scandata.bat into the EXT.folder...but it still doesn't work.
In the past I used to have one that DID work. Where can I find a good scandata.bat ?

I had that exact same problem, and I'm even using Nero 5.5. I tried with vcdeasy and it worked like a charm, until vcdeasy started to error just before the actual burn. This left me with an image file, which I then burned with in Nero. Plays and ff's/rw's great, although I hear it shouldn't with Nero. I dunno.

This bug was fixed in the later versions of 5.5 (5.5.5.1, I believe), and the current version of Nero is 5.5.8.0.

I suppose I've done the upgrade wrong. I'm using 5.5.8.0, and it's not adding the scandata.dat file. I should have known something was amiss when after I upgraded, the icon for the shortcut in the start menu was generic, indicating to me a missing target. I've since fixed that by re-running the setup, but I suppose I'll try an uninstall and reinstall. I dunno, it seems to work great using Nero to burn the image created using vcdeasy. Should I have cause to fear this method?
