I haven't looked at requirements for the the game consoles, but have looked at a the manuals for a number of Blu-Ray players and HDTVs. Those often play mp4 files with AAC audio and AVC video encoded using High@L4.1 profile and CABAC, if they play video files at all, but they don't go into great detail about other permitted encoder settings. Some inexpensive TVs and Blu-Ray players will only display JPEG photos and MP3s from storage devices attached to their USB ports, so it is probably best to check on their file playback capabilities in the manual before buying, and take a flash drive with some sample files to the showroom for testing.

Since you have already encoded many Blu-Rays using these settings, why not just try playing them when you have the game console(s)?

Its correct. PS3 settings are reframes max 4 and profile 4.1 for fluid WIFI connection (G on PS3).

I use RIPBOT264 for convert files and SERVIIO for DLNA (nowsday, the best DLNA server for PS3. Works TWITCH TV too).

3072 bitrate for WIFI or 8192 bitrate for Cable mode.

For USB plug, 8192 2 passes or CRF 18 is perfect for PS3. Try RIPBOT264 / HANDBRAKE / VIDCODER / MEGUI.

No need "INTERNET" for stream. Necessary ROUTER/WIFI NETWORK only.

    Hi anime12345,

    1 - PS3 is DLNA client
2 - PC is DLNA SERVER using softwares like SERVIIO, UMS, PLEX.
3 - Work with or without JAILBREAK.

Get SERVIIO, install, share movie folder, turn on your PS3, check enable mediaserver, look on videos tab for Serviio module, enjoy.

    Very easy to install.

    Try and reply,
