Hello, everyone.
This sounds impossible but perhaps anyone here has a way to do this, so I am going to ask anyway.
I'd like to rip subtitles from youtube videos, but the problem is they are HARDSUBBED. I tried ripping the video from youtube, and then tried ripping the subtitles using Subrip software but it didn't detect any subtitles.
Reason I want to rip them is because the subs are not in sync at all, so I'd like to re-sync them.

Maybe AVISubDetector
What happens with subrip? Can it open it all? -
Pretty much, yes. I understand that what you want to do is read/grab burnt-in subtitles from video frames, visually remove them from those video frames and make them appear (hard or soft) on different frames.
Doesn't seem feasible to me, because ripping is just half of the task. If you want to re-sync the subs, they have to removed from the frames they don't belong on. -
