  1. Good evening

    Sorry fo my bad English.
Last week I made some videos with a gopro hero 3. Unfortunately my pc crashed and I lost all the files.
I tried to restore the files with recuva which didn't worked fine. I could save the files on my pc but when I open them an error appears...
Later I tried do repair the videos with Video Repair Tool 1.9.0.1 which worked! But after 5 seconds the video freezes and the sound loops the first 5 seconds. Then the video continues fine for another 5 seconds. One more time the video freezes and the sound loops the next 5 seconds. this happens
during the whole video. So the video is like "doubled"?
    What could I do?

Well I am struggling to understand your post.

Did recuva work or not ? Did you try to recover the files on the same HDD ? If so that could well be why the repair has messed them up with bit of original file and recovered file being taken.

But. Are not your files still on the card from the camera ? Copying to your PC does not delete them unless, of course, you deleted them yourself. But even if you did delete them from the card, as long as you have not used the card since you do have a chance to recover them from there.

    My thought exactly.

  5. Second try:

The files aren't still on the card from the camera. During the import of the files the importprogramm crashed and deleted all the files on the micro SD card.I don't know why but now they aren't on the SD card anymore. There are only some .lrv files on the card (I dind't take new videos since then...). Afterwards I tried to recover the files with recuva from the micro SD card to the desktop. That wokred only partial. There are now some .mp4 files on my desktop but i can't open them. On another computer I could open the mp4 files but it appears only a black screen. I think that the mp4 files are corrupt so I tried to repair them with the video repair tool which also worked only partial. Now I can watch the mp4 video in HD but after 5 seconds the movie interrupts and for the next 5 seconds the screen is freezed and only the sound repeats the first 5 seconds. After that the video continuous for 5 seconds untill it interrupts again, the screen freezes and the sound repeats the part from 5 to 10 seconds...

    Its like this:

00:00 - 05:00 movie and sound works fine
00:05 - 00:10 sound repeats the part from 00:00 to 05:00, screen is black
00:10 - 00:15 movie and sound works fine and shows the "real" part from 00:05 to 00:10
00:15 - 00:20 sound repeats the part from "real" 00:05 to 00:10, screen is black
00:20 - 00:25 movie and sound works fine and shows the "real" part from 00:10 to 00:15
    .
    .
    .

I hope you can understand the problem now.

So try some other recovery software.

Zero Assumption Recovery (ZAR) is one I have used. Also try GetDataBack.

Unusual that a transfer program destroys the source media but I suppose there is a first time for everything.

Not much you can do with the files on the HDD unless you want to experiment with A/B editing in avidemux, for example. No guarantees of any success.
