Hi, I had used TSMuxer to convert a MKV File (size was >18 gb) to a Bluray Folder and burned the BDMV and CERTIFICATE to a 25gb bluray
disc using Imgburn and it can playback on a bluray player as Bluray format. However, the video had motion artifact problem, some part of the video will be "pause" or "in slow motion" in 1 or 2 second and then the video will playback normally. Can i know what is the problem?
This will never happen if the same is playback in MKV format.

Please post the video and audio details from your mkv. Use mediainfo, open mkv, view->text.
Or try another mkv to blu-ray software like avchdcoder, bdtoavchd, bdrebuilder, etc. -
Hi, Baldrick and anybody,
May I know whether is there any other software that will not take so many hours to convert the MKV file to BDMV and Certificate folder?
I used tsmuxer to convert MKV to Certificate and BDMV folder and it only takes not more than 20 minutes to convert the same, but only with motion artifact
problem. The software you have suggested will take many hours to convert the MKV file to BDMV and Certificate folder. Anybody know how to fix the motion artifacts as mentioned by using tsmuxer? Thanks for your reply. -
Your mkv is probably not blu-ray complaint so the other software reconverts it(while tsmuxer just changes the container to blu-ray format). Post the video details!

Not sure what your problem is but I changed several MKV files to a blu-ray format with tsmuxer an had no problems, Also depends on your computer as far as speed goes, Mine is an AMD 6350 with 8gb memory and only takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to do a Blu-ray with BDRebuilder.

Not all mkvs can be changed to blu-ray directly(without reconversion).

Thanks for all your reply.
I had tested the bd-disc on a some bluray players as follows (some of mine and some of my friends' player), the file was from MKV to Bluray format using TSMUXER : -
1. LG BDP125 (year 2013 machine with cinavia firmware) - no motion artifact problem ;
2. Sony BDP-S380 (older player without cinavia firmware) - no motion artifact problem ;
3. LG BDP135 -(Newer player in year 2014 with latest firmware and cinavia ) - motion artifact problem ;
4. Sony BDP-S370 -(older player without cinavia firmware) - motion artifact problem.
5. Philips (very old bluray player model 3000)- motion artifact problem.
If i convert the MKV to M2TS format only, no artifacts problem at all and it only happens when convert to Bluray format (using
Bluray Folder or Bluray ISO with TSMuxer)
All motion artifact problem happens in the same specific scenes when playing on the LG135, SonyBDP-S370 and Philips 3000.
The video resolution is 1920 x 1088 and another is 1920 X 1080 with PGS Subs ( is that the resolution problem or the firmware problem?)
If I use other software to convert? Will the same problem happen? I have no clue why BDtoAVCHD take so many hours to convert MKV to Bluray Format. I stop using it since I have no patience. I am using Window XP with Intel motherboard and another one is Window XP with ASUS Motherboard . The computer was bought in 2009 and 2012 ( i prefer window xp since i need to run older software for my work).
Any suggestions ? Thanks a lot for your reply. -

1920x1088 is not valid for Blu-ray. You must crop or resize the video and encode it so it meets the Blu-ray specification before using tsmuxer.
tsmuxer is an authoring and muxing program. It does not "convert" in the sense that you are thinking of.
That software is taking time because it is reencoding the video which needs to be done. tsmuxer is fast because it is a muxer, not an encoder. You will need patience because your files do not meet the Blu-ray specification and need to be encoded again for use with Blu-ray.Last edited by Vidd; 1st Jan 2015 at 21:21.

Dear Vidd,
May I ask why some bluray player as I mentioned can play the Bluray Disc without motion artifact problem and some do not?
Thanks for your reply. -
Different blu-ray players have different hardware decoding chips. Some are very powerful and can decode non compliant streams. Some can play MKV as is without having to author a blu-ray (they can play files alone)
The other factor is the video itself. You have to answer the questions if you want more help. Again, use mediainfo (view=>text) and it will tell you some specs for the videos
