I want to know if this is possible. I currently use TMPGEnc to burn SVCDs using Nero. By Pioneer 343 can play SVCDs OK so I was thinking that for short high quality home video clips it might be possible to trick my DVD player into thinking it was seeing a DVD.

If it is possible where can I find the format of directories etc necessary for a DVD as I do not have any DVD buring software - only Nero 5.5.5.4?

Thanks Truman, I looked at the help page and it looks like I can't do this with my version of Nero as it does not support DVD authoring. (I do not have a DVD burner)

Is there some freeware that will give me the Video_TS and Audio_TS files so I can burn on to CD-R?

  4. I have captured MPEG2 at 6000 bitrate and burned them as a non compliant SVCD with Nero 5554 and they play perfect on my Daewoo 5700, at 7000 it chokes, but would not play on my APEX's or Panasonic RA60. I can get about 15-18 minutes at this bitrate on one 700MB CD-R.
I tired also 4000 but it really did not look that much better than 3000 that would play on the Apex's. I have tried 3000 and 3500 on APEX's and they work anything higher it chokes. I bet 6000 bitrate will work on the newer Daewoo 5800 also, but can't comfirm that.
