  1. Hi,

I've made some SVCD's with DVDx 1.8 and got correct MPEGs (?) I can view the MPEGS correctly with a software DVD-player. But here's the problem: When i burn the .MPG file as a SVCD with Nero or VCDEasy i get (at first sight) a good SVCD, but while playing the movie in my standalone DVD-player the movie restarts while playing and starts all over again. The second time the movie starts, it plays correct....

    I allready tried to re-multiplexing and re-encoding with TMPGEnc...didn't help : (

    I use a Pioneer 444 as DVD-player. Please help !

    Thanks in advance !

Most likely there's a problem in the authoring of DVDx.
Could you please forward this problem to the forum of DVDx at labdv.com (which is often red by the author of this application)?

  3. me too i have 444-pioneer (italy) - when i went to buy it i experienced some differencies on different machine (always 444-pioneer !)
Have you tried your svcd on another player ? it works ?
I faced different result only by the fact that i burn cd at 2x or 4x or 8x
my 444 plays almost anything burned until 10 x indipendently from trade (cd-r /cd-rw , traxdata , tdk , philips ) but some models in the shop won' t play well nothing burned up to 4x.
I wonder it's something connected to your player instead the way you create your svcd -
try to exclude this before thinking about encoding and burning software -
    bye
