  1. i just tried this today following the how to on here
(so i dont forget anything in the process).
i used spruceup. Made a menu that linked to each clip.
Went to go play it and the menu loads up fine, then for any choice it goes haywire, to the point that it zooms drastically in on the menu picture itself when any choice is picked. To stop this i stopped the disc and hit "next' (on pioneers this overides any vcd type menu) and the clips played ok, well the first one seemed "shaky' then on another the sound cut out.
Again i follwed the rules to a "t". Anyone have any idea as to why it spazzed out like this? has anyone successfully transfered their vcd content onto a dvd-r and it played ok? thanks

  2. i forgot to mention the content used were all ntsc 352x240, 29.97 clips--the sound on all but one were 48k at 192, or 48k at 224 thanks

  3. 48khz might be a problem... my sony player always plays vcd audio at 44khz, so with 48khz on a vcd it slows it down by 4khz, also slowing down the video. maybe try 44khz

  4. thanks for the reply, i thought that too, but according to the how to guide it had to be changed to 48. Spruceup wont allow the clip if it was at 44 (well i will try a few things), other programs like sonic dvdit will convert the sound for you at 48k. Perhaps i will do some more testing thank god for dvd-rw
