  1. Hello

I have an ATI All-In-Wonder 128 Pro Ultra AGP and have MMC 7.1 Installed and wasn't sure if I should or could Upgrade to MMC 7.5, since it is for the Radeon cards.

So if someone could please help it would be great!

    Thanks

ps: I have a PIII 866 SB Live! and 256 Ram.

  2. rattboy: I can't give you a definate answer on that, but I used to have a TV Wonder and tried installing 7.6. It installed, but the TV app was not visible, and no TV functions worked. Just download 7.6 from ATIs web site, install, and see if it works. It won't hose your system or anything. If it doesn't work, just un-install and re-install the old version. Try using Virtual Dub or iuVCR if you dont like MMC.

  4. For the ATI 128 Pro, I believe that the same TV application problems exist for MMC 7.5 and 7.6. (i.e. the TV program freezes under Windows ME).

Upgrading to MMC 7.6 worked for me once I upgraded to Windows XP and installed the latest drivers from ATI for the AIW 128 Pro (the TV application in MMC 7.6 did not work under Windows ME). Apparently MMC 7.6 also works for Windows 98SE (see other posts by a game named Fred).

It is preferable to uninstall the old drivers and MMC 7.1 first. Some people also suggest deleting the ATI registry (by typing "regedit" in the "Run" application) after uninstalling MMC 7.1. And then reinstall the new drivers and then the new MMC 7.6 and 5.0 DVD.

See this post for more information on this process:

You can download the programs from ATI. Eventhough ATI does not suggest MMC 7.6 for the ATI 128.

You should do a search under MMC 7.6 or MMC 7.5 and you will find other suggestions if you have problems upgrading to MMC 7.6. For example, there are two DLLs that must be present in the system or system32 for the TV application to work under MMC 7.6 (WMAF.DLL and WMVCore.DLL). You should ensure that they are present. (I already had those DLLs installed.)

    Hope this helps.
