I've been checking on this forum to see what codec people use when they capture video to their computer. It looks to me as if everyone captures to their computer with either Uncompressed AVI or HuffyUV, and then encodes into another codec later.
That's fine and all, except the problem with my computer is that I'm a bit short on disk space. I've only got about 4-5 GB free, but I still want to capture and edit movies.
I've tried capturing in Divx, and I guess it works for archiving purposes, but it seems that Adobe Premiere, which I use for editing my movies, doesn't like it at all. I keep getting crashes because of a divx.dll error.
So my request is that everyone please respond and say how they capture video into their computer, and what would be the easiest way for me to get video into my space-limited computer. Thanks in advance.
