avi video player help

Hello all,
I`m sure as this is my first post , It may not be in the right section of this forum .
I bought a 10in rpm video screen that came from a store display .
I plays a short AVI video file from an SD card that automatically loops when you turn it on . It plays automaticaly over and over .
I thought it would be cool to use it as a prop . I wanted to put a short AVI file on the sd card .
but I cant get any other video to play on it.
I have the file that came on it but I dont know how to brake the file down to find what makes it autorun and loop .
Anyone have any idea what I need to do here ?

Start with MediaInfo to identify what codecs and properties are used in the AVI file that works. Then try to create a file with the same properties and codecs.
