1. User can select Motion Menu styles
2, Capture time can be entered.
3. Chapter lengths can be entered.
4. After capture time elapses, burn automatically begins.
It's the lazy man's software. Adaptec used to make this for XP, but alas, not for Windows 7. It was nice to set this in the evening and have a finished DVD in the morning.

I don't have an answer for you, but you left out something important -- the capture device that is to be used with the software. That information is relevant since for all practical purposes, some capture devices only work with the manufacturer's provided software. For such devices, the only third-party solution for timed captures is scripting, plus GraphEdit, or GraphStudio, which is too much for most people.

VirtualPC or a separate xp box running the app you clearly already want to use.
