Hi all, new forum member here.
I recently upgraded from my trusty standard def VX2100 to a HDR-FX7 (as I much prefer tape to solid state media but had to go HD as that is sadly the way of the world these days). Obviously I don't want to use the FX7 to capture my footage to my laptop & my old little JVC MiniDV camcorder that I used to use in my VX days is not up to the job. So, can anyone suggest a cheap HDV camcorder that I can use as a capture cam?
Don't care about features & I want it as cheap as poss - just something I can use so I don't wear down the heads on the FX7.
Thanks for any advice anyone can give.

Cheers mate, was hoping to spend a fair bit less than the £300 ($500) or so people are charging for them but if that's the only option then I may well have to go for one.

Thanks for getting back to me.
