  1. I've been making vcd's for a long time and today I decided to burn a very high quatlity file in svcd format. It burned fine and when i put it in my dvd player nothing happend. It said "vcd" and then "pbc on" and thats it. I figured that it is possiable that one file could just be corrupted and needed to be reencoded but I went to the 2nd file and that one didnt work either. I played the vcd on my computer so I dont think there is something wrong with it. Does any one know how to fix this?

  12. I went to Best Buy to check out the APEX cos' I wanted to get into burning VCD, SVCD's & DVD's and I read that brand does it all. They did'nt have any APEX but I found a JVC open box buy for 119.00 and to my amazement it plays my homeburned DVD's, VCD's and SVCD's. :)

Compliant VCD's (VCD2.0) and SVCD's are with PBC. Turning the PBC off at SVCD will make it incompliant, so it will be at your own risk (not garantueed to work).

Never expect a DivX SVCD/VCD to work at a DvD. DivX is AVI, and (S)VCD are MPG so this wouldn't work anyway!
