DVD menu problems

I've made quite a few DVD's with MyDVD, DVDit PE2.5,
Ulead DVD Factory, and Ulead DVD Workshop.

However, when playing these DVD-R's on my standalone
unit. aToshiba 5700, i cant get from MENU1, to MENU2, etc, etc.

I've now found out this happens with other players as well.
A Panasonic unit, as well as an APEX model, so the problem
is obviously not one dvd player, but the software used or
my burner maybe?

I can play any chapters on the first menu, but to get to the later
chapters on MENU2, 3, etc..i have to use the skip forward button.
Basically i cant highlight the NEXT MENU buttons on MENU1, for
DVD's created with nay of these packages. I have continually
checked that the link is correct and working before I burn the
discs.

The MENUS all work good on my PC using Power DVD 3.0

anyone have an idea?

Just realized that this problem is not just my Toshiba unit, but
other dvd players as well.

Ok, just tried Dazzle DVD Complete, and the menus DO work
when using this program, but i dont like it as much as
DVD Workshop.

Wish i could figure out why my menus dont work when using
anything else to author.
