How to create a multi-channeled audio file

Is there any software that can do this for mp3, flac, wav/brstm hell any audio format? I just want to have a multi channel version of a song that has 2 channels. Any help would be great.

All you're going to do in converting a stereo track to more channels is ruin it. You need access to the original multitrack recordings to master your own multitrack file.

jagabo - You're right, but nobody who asks this question cares because they always think that more channels are better. This is why Criterion is just about the only American DVD/BD manufacturer that still puts out the original audio on their releases - most consumers believe that if it's not 5.1 or better that it's defective.
