I want to buy cheap (preferably identical) camcorder or video recording cameras and be able to simultaneously or at least individually remote control each.
I was looking at the cheap-o Chinese knock off video cameras but none have remote controls.
I want all 3 or 4 cameras to start and stop recording from one remote if possible.

consumer cams that i've encountered use ir for remote controls if they have them. it only works if you are in front of the cam. so i guess if you had them all pointed at you one remote could turn them all on/off. but i still wouldn't trust it, they don't work very reliably and only for short distances.
