I am having trouble with DVD (VOB) files that I import to encode or to play. A DVD file will input, but it now has a distorted, psychedelic effect. Perhaps a sort of broken, raster image. My players and the encoder will work, but the outputted result has the same distorted look as the input.
I am using TMPGENC encoding programs, and I have both VLC Player and Windows Media Players.
I have a suspicion that the Windows Media Player and VLC software are arguing. It looks as if Media Player has "taken over" some of the VLC files. Chances are I pushed the wrong button.
Can someone advise how I can revert to the good old days?
Thank you vary much,
Graham
Can someone help me fix what has gone wrong?

Decrypt the DVD with DVDFabDecrypter and place it on your HDD(preferably "movie only").
Revert the VOB files back to their original MPEG2 with VOB2MPEG.
