  1. I've been reading and learning how to burn vcds, and have even done a few, and they worked. My question is:

say you have an .avi file, you go through and convert it to mpeg, and it's size ends up greater than the 650mb or 700mb capacity of the cd, what can you do??

    Thanx

  2. A regular VCD will fit about 74min of compliant video onto one 74min/650MB disc and about 80min onto an 80min/700MB disc.

With XVCDs or SVCDs, it depends on your bitrate, but as a rule, you can fit about 740MB and 800MB on 74min and 80min media respectively.

If your MPEG is too large to fit on one disc, you can cut it. Try the MPEG tools that come with TMPGEnc.

    Regards.
