I have a lot of kids programs on my DirecTivo unit and would like to create VCD's for my kids when we go on trips. These VCD's will be played on a portable 9" TV/DVD combo unit.
I bought the Dazzle DVC and I get blocky results using the steps given in this site. It looks okay, but I'm wondering if getting a unit like the Dazzle Hollywood DV-Bridge will produce better results.
The computer capturing the S-Video and audio signals is a Dell Inspiron 8100 Laptop. It is a 1.2GHz system w/512mb RAM, 30 GB hard drive, ATI Radeon 7500 64MB video card and does have firewire built-in.
Basically, I'm asking what is a good "box" to get that will work with a laptop to create good looking VCD?
Thanks.
