I have a BluRay disc that I ripped into an MP4, with the intention of burning it onto a DVD so I could watch it on my portable player.
The MP4 plays fine, with all audio working properly.
I authored the DVD using Adobe Encore, and it seemed to create and burn the dvd without any problems.
However, when I tried to watch the DVD, there was no dialogue audio. All other sounds (including background conversations) worked fine, but the primary dialogue audio was silent.
Any ideas?
According to VLC Player, the codec information is:

Type: Video
Codec: H264-MPEG-4AVC(Part 10)(avc1)
