Just tested and this hack worked for a Coby TFDVD7379 portable DVD player.

Turn it on
Open the DVD tray
On the remote, press Menu
Type 8888 (type quickly and continue quickly)
Press Display
You will see the region code
Press 0 for code free
Press Setup

I could not get this code to work for me. Does anyone have one that will work? I have already gone into the set-up and tried changing the dvd player to PAL and Auto, but neither will play my region 2 disks.
HELP!!!!!
