Hauppauge HD PVR black screen

I was wondering if someone can help. I have a hauppauge HD pvr and something happened to it and I am not sure what. When I used it in windows 7 media center all i get is a black screen with audio but no video. I tried it in the total media extreme 2 that came with it and it works great. It was working and now all of a sudden this happens. I called hauppauge and they told me they couldn't help me. Geez. But he did say that the h 2.64 codecs could have gotten screwed up. I have not tried adding new codecs yet as in the past I never had to. Would appreciate any help.

Calls for an uninstall, then reinstall.

edDV thanks for the quick reply. Uninstall and reinstall of what. Hauppauge software? I did the hcwclear and then reinstalled it and still got the same problem.

reinstall the software that enables the hd pvr to work with media center. I think the software is on the hauppage website somewhere. look under the faq or support section. I remember having to load additional software to get it to work with media center. If you can not find it, I will look at home to see the name of the file.
