  1. Hi,

I have a Sony HD camcorder that produces MTS files, and I use tsMuxeR to merge files together and upload the combined file to YouTube.

It works great, but I've been noticing a lag. I have been granted unlimited video length by YouTube, and my videos up till now have been around 15 minutes or so. More recently, I've been uploading files that are big (4gig+) and 32 minutes or more.

I've noticed that the sound is fine at the beginning of these long videos, but it's slightly off closer to the end of the video - maybe as much as .25 seconds. Not the end of the world, but enough to be annoying.

I can't view/listen to the merged TS file that tsMuxeR creates, so I don't know if this is a problem with the actual file or if it's YouTube's fault. Any ideas? Also, I just use the default settings with tsMuxeR - should I be creating the new merged file in a different file format (I think there are a few other choices).

    Thanks.

For some reason, I can't view the merged .TS file on my PC - it freezes (and I use VLC to view videos). Yes, I can use Sony's PMB product, but tsMuxeR is so much faster.

Does anyone else have experience with audio lag and large files made by tsMuxeR? Should I be creating the merged file in a format other than .TS?

  4. Can you try another software to preview, e.g. mpchc or splash lite ?

On some camcorders, there can be a small gap between joined files when using tsmuxer. When you join a bunch of files, the gap can accumulate with noticable desync

Have you tried joining with the sony software then uploading to youtube ?
