Right click on "My Computer" or "Computer" and select Properties. Does it say 64 bit Windows there?
32 bit AviSynth and 64 bit AviSynth are basically two different products are far as Windows is concerned. It doesn't matter which you install first or second. -
yes it 64.
and thes are 2 first lines from readMe of avisynth64 (now it's ok I just missed this instruction):
1. Be running a copy of 64 bit windows (Vista and 7 should both work, this was compiled with the Win7 SDK with vista compatibility settings, I'm not sure about XP64)
2. Have the 32 bit version of Avisynth installed to begin with, it's installer will setup all the system paths and registry entries -
I see, the 64 bit version doesn't include a real installer. Did you follow all the instructions and copy all the indicated files to the indicated folders and run the CMD file as admin?
-
yes I just copied and run as admin and still not working
can you confirm that on your side it installs with no problems?
edit:
problem must be somewhere else couse I sttill get that msg: 64 bit windws not detected -
I just made short bat file using %processor_architecture% and everything works fine - I do have 64 (and I know that)
but when I run that installation script it fails. -
I had previously installed a 64 bit version with a full installer. I went ahead and uninstalled it from Control Panel. I then installed the JoshyD version from the link on this page:
http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/Main_Page
After unRARing the files I followed the directions and had no problems. AviSynth is working with VirtualDub64.
Did you right click on the CMD file and select "Run as Administrator"? -
yes, I did run as administrator (clicking rmb on the cmd file.
I will try that link from your post and will be back shortly. -
I really have no idea what's going on.
Now another message shows up (this one is v. confusing):
administrator privileges required
but I do run this command as administrator (!?) -
ok jagabo - thank you very much
i opened cmd window as administrator then went to installer's path and run that command
this time it worked.
thank you one more time. -
