    The amount of water and the speed at which it has moved through the area is mind-boggling. Watch some of the video clips on that page (above) and you will get an idea. 3/4 of the state is now flooded. Northern NSW (just south of Queensland) is also affected. Just prior to Christmas parts of Western Australia also suffered sudden and massive flooding. The cost is lives, livestock, farming land and crops, and infrastructure, is huge. My wife has family in Queensland, some of whom were evacuating yesterday as the Brisbane river entered their living room.
