    Are there any programs that can edit (cut and join) mp4 video files (without first converting them to a different format)? On this site I see guides for editing DVD, SVCD, MPEG2, VCD, MPEG1, AVI, DivX, Xvid, WMV, and ASF files...but not mp4 files.

    As said by guns1inger AVIDemux can handle various types of input video format.
    AVIDemux is nice n easy to use video editor which can be used as a video editor plus converter as well.
