  1. I just tried compressing an MPEG4 video file using Winzip 14.5 and it only compressed it from 84MB to 83MB. This is still too large of a file.

    What am I doing wrong?

Should I be using another software?

I know uploading to something like Youtube is easier but I'd like to learn how to compress and send short videos via email.

I've tried to search and read up on this forum but it might be too advanced for me. Any help for this newbie would be appreciated.

Use a file hosting website and email the link. Then all you have to do is upload it to the website and the recipient can download it from the link you send them.

Or use super, format factory, xvid4psp, to convert to a smaller file size - you only need to use one of these three programs - which one is up to you - there are many more choices available also. You will most likely lose quality but how much depends on how small you want to make the file. I'd recommend wmv as the output format.

Or burn the original file to a cd and mail it if you have a slow internet connection.
