    Strangely, I can't find a list of formats Quicktime pro can convert. Thanks in advance for your help!

    XDCAM-EX is MPeg2 in an MXF wrapper not mp4. You may have a conversion.

    Use mediainfo to identify what is in your file.

    It can come in mp4 wrapper as well

    I think you can download a utility from sony to re-wrap the files to mov

    or you can use ffmpeg to rewrap , it's crossplatform
