Hi

I've ripped a DVD to a SVCD and split it up into two parts. I'm trying to write either part on to CD using Nero, but am having problems. No matter what I do, I either a) get an error just before it starts burning, or b) keep making coasters.

At startup, I choose SVCD, click "New", drag the MPEG2 file, add a few other files and "Write".

The only thing I can think of that maybe causing the errors is the sector size issue. Therefore, I'm thinking of trying to make a normal "data" CD, by just "backing-up" the MPEG2 file, rather than letting Nero create an SVCD for me.

I was wondering, is it worth my while to make a proper SVCD directory structure? Will a DVD player be able to play the SVCD if I write it as data, rather than as a SVCD video?

I'm actually only interested in playing the MPEG2 file on a PC, rather than a DVD player, but if making a directory structure is gonna make it work in a DVD player too, I might as well go with this option.

Thanks.
