I muxed 720p MKV to AVCHD and it allmost works on PS3(subtitle,sound and video works), but the problem is that when I start playing the movie, there is large black bar in bottom, about 1/3 of the screen. If I only open the mt2s from stream folder, then there is no black bar but also no subtitles(because it only contains movie+audio) . What is causing this problem?

Hi,
what´s the resolution of your video-stream ? If it does not match the AVCHD specifications (720x480, 1280x720 and 1920x1080) then the PS3 will move the pic to top of screen keeping a black bar at bottom with size of the difference between 720 and the height of your stream.
Nasty but there is no other solution than uncropping your video to allowed size.

it was 1280 x 536

Hi,
fritzi93 is right. uncropMKV is the only tool worth to be used.
Fast ? Depends on your machine and encoder settings - u have to re-encode the whole video stream.
U can also use the complete suite for this : multiAVCHD which includes the uncrop part.
If u download some streamnext time keep an eye on the resolution if u want to use AVCHD
