    Hi guys,

I have a big project that consists of converting tons of .avi and .wmv to .flv, I am using FFMpeg for the encoding and it's working great. The only problem is that I need to add a title screen. I can't figure out a way to do it with FFMpeg. If I can't do it with FFMpeg what should I do to make it as painless (and fast) as possible. The title screen is really just a single image shown for two seconds before the movie starts. Thanks a lot.

Find out the exact resolution, frame rate, etc. of the main video (Gspot can do that). Take your still title image and convert it to .wmv or dv-avi using whatever video editing tool is at your disposal. Then convert the title footage to .flv using FFMpeg (or similar converter), selecting the EXACT specifications of the main video. (I cannot overemphasize this. The title .flv must be a perfect match to the main .flv.) Join them together, without a re-encode, using Andy's FLV Joiner (free and in the tools section of this site.)

  3. i guess...
    FFMpeg command line like -i titlescreen.avi + video.avi -o output.avi should work,
if your title screen is in avi format and bears same specifications
