Under the prompt, Common Languages Runtime Debugging Services, is the following:
"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0x80 (128), Thread id=0xe8 (232)."
Does anyone know of a fix for the problem?

Most likely you are missing a file. You would have to know what program caused the error. This may not be simple.
You can do a Google search for ' Application has generated an exception that could not be handled ' and get some ideas from that. Windows has some diagnostic programs that may help you, such as Dependency Walker. http://www.dependencywalker.com/
If you just started to get the error, did you install anything recently that may have damaged or added a file related to this? Have you tried a restore to a point before the problem started?
