I've been downloading movies from usenet. About half the time the movie is VOB segments everything works on my computer including the main menu and the movie plays smoothly, but when i burn it to disk and play it on my stand alone the menu doesn't work. It will play when I start it on the first segment but often i end up getting a segment or two with no audio or it(they) play in a foreign language. I also get a freeze up while it switches to the next segment.
Does anyone have any ideas what i need to do to get these to burn and play right. This is very frustrating as it not only takes a long time to download them, I don't have the disk space to save them on my computer.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer

I'm assuming it is a complete DVD video file, with VOBs, IFO, BUPs? Try running it through DVDShrink in Re-author mode. This may fix the problems with the DVD structure. May not work, but it's easy to try. You don't have to 'shrink' it, just output as the same size. I would also recommend burning to DVD with ImgBurn.
And welcome to our forums.
