    Is anyone using the EPSON STYLUS PX710W all-in-one? Would this be a better choice than a Canon?

    Epson isn't a better choice according to me. I bought an Epson once. ONCE. I sent it back. Damn piece of #$%^ printer refused to recognize the official Epson printer cartridges that came with it. I found out that this happens more than you might think. Know what the "fix" is? Trade it in for another printer. I bought a Canon and I've been incredibly happy with it. I'll NEVER buy Epson printers again.

    Actually I have the same problem with a Canon MP500 that does not recognize the Canon original cartridges. Canon email support has not been any helpful and the MP500 is out of warranty.
