    I've tried several downloaders to download movies. But all they "grab" is the minute (or so) long commercial trailer, even if I wait until the movie starts. Is that because only the commercial is a video clip that can be downloaded?

    Of course. Their intention is to keep you from downloading the real content. But try using StreamTransport.
