Acer AL1716WA to HDTV conversion

Hi,

I am a newbie. I have a Acer AL1716WA 17" LCD monitor which i want to convert to TV. Just trying to see if it is feasible to do so. If yes, what accessories i need (any specific brand name). Also is it worth spending money on these accessories?

Since i have an old 17" monitor i like to trail run this. or do you have any suggestion for LCD monitors which can be used as HDTV.
