have you checked your player in the dvd specs section on this site to see if it plays vcd and what type of media to use?

Try the demo cd from the tools section http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdtools.htm it's at the bottom of the page. Try to grab the VCD NTSC one first. That will establish for sure rather or not your player can read the media you have.

If that sample works, then there was a problem with the way the previous mpg's you had were encoded.

If it doesn't you'll have to go shopping for a different kind of CDR/W.

Go to your Menu on your DVD player make sure PBC is turned on or off..Some DVD player won't play VCD unless this is set correctly...Give it a try. let me know if it works..

Memorex cdr-w Old one Works. But Memorex cdr-w Platinum Won't Work, What The Hell Is The Differnce.
Oh Yea Also It Worked With PBS Off.

The Mpg That Worked Was the demo From This Site.But Only On My Old Memorex cdrw Dsk.

Obviously, just like with most DVD Players, they are picky with their CD-R(W) media. And, yes there is a DIFFERENCE between Memorex CD-RW and it's PLATINUM media (different dyes/factory-made, etc).
