  2. choppy: Not all h.264 options are supported by Blu-ray (too may b-frames, reframes).
stretched: Blu-ray players usually only support 1920x1080 an 1280x720 frame sizes. You probably have to reencode with one of those sizes.

  3. hmm can you give me a program that will take my .x264 mkv file and convert the video to one of those sizes so i can then mux it to bluray? i dont understand the choppyness it gets so pixelated

Use multiavchd. It can input mkv and also has a true bluray output option.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  5. I will try multiavchd and let you guys know what happens. Thank you any other advice is still welcomed

  6. yoda313 very hard program to use. i loaded my file but i dont know where the tru bluray output option is

I know it takes a little while to learn. When you have the file loaded if you don't want to do anything else to it like menus or whatever click the start button on the far lower right. Then it will give you your output options. The bluray output is in the middle of the option list.

  8. I finished it... and i dont get what the hell just happened? i have files ALL over the place now?

  9. So i figured it out and i love you.

You could also try AVCHDCoder, which has a lot less options (and is therefore simpler to use). That said, I have processed many, many files with Multi-AVCHD and find it very reliable.

I am guessing that your MKV files are not straight from a camera or disc, and have already been cropped and re-encoded. This means that in most cases they are not BD/AVCHD compliant and will have to be re-encoded with black bars and correct parameters to make sure they play. If you don't want to do this, weigh up the cost of blank BDs and the time it takes to convert the files against the cost of a WDTV and portable HDD and see which is the better option. The WDTV will (in most cases) play the MKV files without conversion.

  13. I agree, just get a media player like the WDTV Live.

  14. Please tell me just how to make it work not get a good player? i Dont understand .. and correct every mkv i load says not compliant but is the program not supposed to make them compliant?

It makes them compliant by re-encoding them. There is a simple, step by step tutorial at the multiavchd site.

If multiavchd is too complicated for you, try AVCHDCoder instead.

Can you guys stop helping the ******* pirates already? This isn't even a gray area. EbP is a release group for rips.

And one of you used to be a mod here.

I had the same problem. Just use uncropMKV to get the right size MKV file. Then use tsMuxeR.

  18. I'm no pirate so don't say that I was given the movie by my friend and want to turn it into bluray I'm just a college kid wanting to watch movies and I'm having a problem converting so please still help me

Then go buy or rent the movie. You have obtained an illegal copy.
