Virus, spam or what else?

Hello.

Four days ago my PC was invaded by a program called Total Security. I don't manage to eliminate that program and it stays permanently in the desktop. How can I eliminate it?
When I enter in a site, almost always it displays a Warning from Microsoft telling me that site is unsafe. Is it from Microsoft or is it a virus? ( This also happens with the site forum.videohelp.)
What is the right to do this? What must I do?

use trendmicro's free virus/spyware scanner.

Malware Bytes should be able to remove it. You may have to kill the running processes before installing Malware Bytes

I have had to clean up a few variants of this particular nasty. One variant also writes over 700 registry keys to block the running of most anti-virus/anti-spyware tools, as well as regedt32, cmd etc. It also filled the HOST files with dummy records to redirect a huge number of typical sites (goolge etc) through someone else's servers, slowing browsing to a crawl as they watched everything sent to those servers.

Malware Bytes cleaned the systems in question
